As a dedicated mental health counselor, Ms. Lexie Carlson-Wheat brings a unique blend of talk and art therapy to her clinical work. With a passion for holistic healing and creative expression, she attained her BA in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington, and her MA in Art Therapy from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Ms. Lexie Carlson-Wheat has worked in a variety of settings, including residential programs, domestic violence shelters, adult day programs, and community mental health centers. She uses art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology in her clinical work. She enjoys working with college students and young adults, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, major life transitions, depression and anxiety.
When she isn’t working, she spends time with her husband, two cats and a tortoise, or is gardening, painting and drawing, or tabletop gaming.
