
As a dedicated mental health counselor, Ms. Lexie Carlson-Wheat brings a unique blend of talk and art therapy to her clinical work. She has a passion for holistic healing and creative expression. ,
Lexie obtained her MA in Art Therapy from Indiana University Indianapolis. Her BA in Psychology is from Indiana University Bloomington.
Lexie Carlson has worked in a variety of settings. These include residential programs, domestic violence shelters, adult day programs, and community mental health centers. She uses art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology in her clinical work. She enjoys working with college students and young adults, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, major life transitions, depression and anxiety.
When she isn’t working, she spends time with her husband, two cats and a tortoise. She also enjoys gardening, painting and drawing, or tabletop gaming.
