Ms. Audrey Beard has a Master’s degree in Counseling and Counseling Education. She also has a Master’s of Specialist in Education from Indiana University. Additionally, she is also an EMDR certified therapist, recognized by the EMDR International Association.
Ms. Beard sees adolescents and adults and has worked in multiple settings through her career. Her primary specialty is Christian counseling (though she also frequently works from a non-faith-based approach as well, per client preference.) Her faith-based work weaves biblical principles with clinical therapy from a place of non-judgement, unconditional positive regard, and acceptance. She also has a specialty in adoption issues. She views therapy as a healing journey and believes it to be a safe place of support that provides tools to equip and empower clients to meet their personal goals.
Ms. Audrey Beard utilizes an integrative therapy approach based on each client’s individual needs and treatment goals. She incorporates EMDR therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, Person-Centered therapy and motivational interviewing. She works with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, family issues, couples work, grief, substance use, and interpersonal issues.
Ms. Beard enjoys spending time with her husband and family, volunteering at her local church, reading, coffee houses, and spending time outdoors.
