Kelli Deckard, LCSW, provides therapy and counseling services.

Ms. Kelli Deckard, LCSW offers a warm, supportive, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. She believes that you are the expert on your own life and that healing happens best in a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard. Ms. Deckard works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, positive change at a pace that feels right for them.

She takes a holistic and trauma-informed approach to care, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by life experiences, relationships, beliefs, and the mind-body connection. Ms. Deckard uses a variety of therapeutic tools based on each client’s unique needs and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients work through trauma and distressing memories.

Ms. Deckard works best with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, challenges in family relationships, or the lasting impact of trauma. She has a particular interest in supporting clients who carry emotional wounds related to religious or spiritual experiences, approaching this work with compassion, openness, and respect for each person’s values and beliefs.

She has experience working with both children and adults in a variety of settings, including hospital, home-based, and community environments. Ms. Deckard also brings extensive experience supporting families involved in the child welfare system, which has shaped her understanding of resilience, attachment, and complex family dynamics.

Ms. Deckard earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington and her Master of Social Work from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. She has also taught future social workers as an Adjunct Professor with the Indiana University School of Social Work.

Outside of the therapy room, Ms. Deckard enjoys reading, solving puzzles, hiking, attending live music and theater performances, and spending time with her pets, family, and friends.
