Sarah Gearing, LCSW

Sarah Gearing, LCSW, provides therapy and counseling services.

Ms. Sarah Gearing holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Evansville, with majors in both Spanish and International Studies.  She received her master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University.

Ms. Sarah Gearing takes an integrative approach to therapy based on each client’s individual needs and goals.  She incorporates EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT skills, and Motivational Interviewing.

Additionally, she has also completed Therapeutic Game Master training, acquiring skills to incorporate tabletop gaming into a therapeutic setting. This setting creates a safe space for the players to try out new behaviors and skills that they may not feel comfortable with in real life.  It also allows them to observe behaviors that they are regularly demonstrating and see the consequences of those behaviors, both for their character and those around them.

She also works with anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, interpersonal issues, and life transitions. Her focus is on empowering clients to meet their goals through creating a supportive and accepting environment.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys gaming, hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends.
