
Ms. Gearing holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Evansville, with majors in both Spanish and International Studies. She received her master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University.
Ms. Gearing takes an integrative approach to therapy based on each client’s individual needs and goals. She incorporates EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT skills, and Motivational Interviewing. She has also completed Therapeutic Game Master training, acquiring skills to incorporate tabletop gaming into a therapeutic setting. She works with anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, interpersonal issues, and life transitions. Her focus is on empowering clients to meet their goals through creating a supportive and accepting environment.
When she isn’t working, she enjoys gaming, hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends.
