
Ms. Sanders is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice, as well as a Bachelors of Social Work, both from Indiana University. She has a Master of Social Work from the University of Louisville.
Ms. Sanders has experience working with a broad range of clients and presenting issues, in multiple settings including community mental health center, inpatient substance use, outpatient substance use, and foster care. Ms. Sanders utilizes a person-centered approach in therapy and is trained in EMDR and CBT.
She greatly enjoys working with young adults (ages 18-25), perinatal mental health, those transitioning into parenthood, and those with substance use disorders, and has experience with clients of all ages across the life span.
Ms. Sanders is also an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching at IU in the Social Work Department. She is currently a BSW Field Liaison, teaching a practicum course for undergraduates.
When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family, sewing, playing board games, exploring new areas, and drinking coffee.
