Supervisor
Ms. Leslie Ruiz a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University.
Ms. Ruiz uses an eclectic approach with her clients, tailoring techniques to suit each client’s individual needs while building the therapeutic bond. She has a diverse work experience that includes community mental health, inpatient crisis-care and hospitalization. She has also worked in child protection services and residential care.
Ms. Leslie Ruiz enjoys working with clients from adolescence through adulthood focusing on trauma, self-harm, relational issues, transitional phases of life and a variety of anxiety and mood disorders. She is trained in CBT and EMDR and has completed training in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International (PSI). Ms. Leslie Ruiz is also a supervisor in our Licensure Program, overseeing the work of provisionally licensed clinicians.
When she is not working, Ms. Ruiz enjoys reading, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family and dogs.
