Ms. Ruiz holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Ms. Ruiz uses an eclectic approach with her clients, tailoring techniques to suit each client’s individual needs. She has a diverse work experience that includes community mental health, inpatient crisis care and hospitalization, and residential care. She also has experience providing therapy for families involved with the Department of Child Services.
Her specialty areas include severe behavioral issues for adolescents, and young adults with trauma, self-harm, impulse control problems, relational issues, depression and anxiety.
When she is not working, Ms. Ruiz enjoys reading, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family and dogs.
