
Ms. Emily Purk is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University and also has a master’s degree in social work from Indiana University-Indianapolis. Her therapy approach includes client-centered, solution-focused interventions. She is passionate about creating a safe space for others to process trauma, overcome adversity, and create positive change.
Emily has experience working with children, families, and individuals as an agent of support and guidance. She is trained in Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She also works in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust Based Relational Intervention Strategies (TBRI) and Play Therapy for the Treatment of Disruptive Behavior Disorders and Trauma. Ms. Purk has experience with working in the areas of childhood trauma, crisis intervention, stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, and grief/loss.
Ms. Purk enjoys spending quality time with her family and being outdoors with her dog. She also enjoys listening to her vinyl record collection and traveling.
