Linda Kranitz, PhD, HSPP

Linda Kranitz provides therapy and counseling services.

Dr. Linda Kranitz is a psychologist who earned her masters and doctoral degrees at Rutgers University. Prior to joining Spencer Psychology, she spent nearly 20 years working for the Veterans Health Administration, first in central Connecticut and more recently, for more than a decade in Bloomington. There, she worked with veterans who had a wide variety of mental health concerns.

Dr. Kranitz focuses primarily on working with people who have experienced problems related to trauma, chronic pain, and depression. She uses a variety of approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for chronic pain, Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma, and Interpersonal Therapy for depression. She also integrates ideas and strategies from other traditions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness based therapies. Dr. Kranitz then works collaboratively with clients to identify the most effective, personalized approach for each individual client. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.

When not working, Dr. Kranitz enjoys baking, traveling, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
