Ms. Emily Milnes is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University and also has a master’s degree in social work from Indiana University-Indianapolis. Ms. Milnes approaches therapy with client-centered, solution-focused interventions. She is passionate about creating a safe space for others to process trauma, overcome adversity, and create positive change.
Ms. Milnes has experience working with children, families, and individuals as an agent of support and guidance. Her experience includes having studied many modalities to bring healing to those in need. These modalities include Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. and Play Therapy. She has also studied Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trust Based Relational Intervention Strategies (TBRI). Ms. Milnes has experience with working in the areas of childhood trauma, crisis intervention, stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, and grief/loss.
Ms. Emily Milnes is provisionally licensed as an LSW (Licensed Social Worker), and is in our licensure training program. She is completing her client hours for her LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) while under supervision of senior staff, Bri Cha, LCSW.
In her spare time, Ms. Milnes enjoys painting, traveling, and also spending time with her family and friends.
